In the old days if I wanted to record a show from the TV I had to set the old Video cassette recorder and hope for the best. Too many times the tape ripped or jammed or it recorded with "noise" all over it.
So I was exicted to get our Cable box with the DVR .
Now with cable I can set record and it goes to the hard drive. I can watch the program when iI want, (usualy during early morning up time with Mags.) The best part of the whole process is that I can fast forward thru commericals.
